Minch Collected Works Of Alex Elmsley I Deluxe SignedThis is limited, deluxed signed edition the first of the two massive volumse by stephen minch that secured the brilliant work of alex elmsley for posterity. This volume contains over 110 original elmsley tricks and sleights, including hsi stunningly original torn and restored newspaper, and his cups and balls routine, all recored here in the most literate terms. The volume opens with an extneded essay by elmsley recording his views on the theory and practice of magic and another on misdirection. Sadly, this volume is now out of print, and with the recent passing of mr. Elmsley renewed interest in his work has not yet produced any announcement of a reprint of the regular edition, which has been fetching high prices. The scan shows the front cover, and there is a matching slipcase. This is #163 of a limited autographed edition of just 200 copies (see scan of signed limitation page). Very fine condition, iwth no known blemishes. A set of the regular edition of both volumes in lesser condition sold on ebay for $192.50 in october 2006 (ebay #270035462424), but as with our other current ebay auctions, we'll start the bidding ridiculously low, with no reserve!
